In our wonderful city of Syracuse, NY
What is your design process?
Hartbreakers Creative generally follows a standard design process across all project types:
- Start by working with clients to create a design brief and set the project scope.
- Do a deep dive to get to know a client’s brand or organization.
- Do competitive research.
- Begin design with low-fidelity sketches. Check in with client. Decide on direction.
- Generate focused, medium fidelity alternatives. Check in with client. Decide on final direction.
- Generate three final high fidelity alternatives. Client decides on final deliverable.
- Create and deliver final design assets.
What is your project on-boarding and off-boarding process?
Regarding on-boarding: Typically, a client relationship begins with an email to eric@hartbreakers.com or by submitting a consultation request form. A time will be set-up to discuss the potential project and if both parties agree to proceed, contracts will be signed, the client pays the 50% total invoice down payment and work on the project will begin.
Regarding off-boarding: Once the client has paid the remaining 50% of the total invoice and final assets have been delivered to the client the project is considered complete.
Since Hartbreakers will retain the client’s design files, the business relationship with the client has the potential to continue in the future if any other needs for a new project arises.
What do you charge for your services?
It all depends on what your needs are. Visit the consultation page and submit a free consultation request form for a personalized response.
How and when do I pay for your services?
All clients are required to pay 50% of the total project invoice amount as a down payment up-front before work begins. The final 50% of the total invoice amount is due at the end of the project before final assets are delivered to the client. Invoices can paid via ACH bank transfer or debit/credit card. Cash, checks or money orders are not accepted.
What is your cancellation policy?
Either party can terminate a project at any time.
What is your refund policy?
If either party terminates the project early in the design process, after a client has paid the first 50% down payment of the project invoice, Hartbreakers will refund that down payment.
If either party terminates the project at the end of the design process, after a client has paid the first 50% down payment of the project invoice but before final assets have been delivered, Hartbreakers is not required to refund the down payment.
Do you require signing a contract before work begins?
Yes, I require signed contracts before I begin a project so that all parties are on the same page, agree to all terms and conditions, and understand their responsibilities.
Do you require signing an NDA before work begins?
As it pertains to Non-Employee Contractors: Typically Hartbreakers requests NECs to sign an NDA before they begin work on a Hartbreakers project. As it pertains to clients: Signing a client’s NDA’s is common and acceptable.
Do you hire freelancers?
Hartbreakers hires temporary freelancers, aka Non-Employee Contractors, regularly for all types of projects. Examples of NECs that would commonly be hired are:
- Copywriters
- Photographers
- Illustrators
- Web developers
- Consultants
